Bookworm

I am a bookworm ... there is nothing I like better than to curl up with a book and loose myself for the day. So obviously I need a spot to do just that and I have decided that between the fireplace and the window with a comfy (but stylish) chair is just the right place for this in our new home.

Our formal living room will have a simlar configuration as below but really want something more modern with an interesting flare to it.

Framed

This week I am experimenting with black and white photographs. I recently enlarged a black and white print of each of my 2 children from a recent photoshoot and have been trying to figure out the best way to frame and display these.


I have decided that I like the look of a large white border with think black frame. I will display these side by side above our brown leather couch in the living room and holding thumbs this will bring some life to a currently fairly boring space.

My pics will look something like this but hopefully better :)

Small Hallway Ideas

Today I have been browsing small hallway ideas as since we still haven't been able to start with any major construction this seems to be the only area I might actually be able to make a start on :)

The idea is a small rectangular table or shoe rack with a mirror above it with either a keyrack or artwork on one of the side walls.
